McMASTER ATHLETICS READY TO “BE LIKE MIKE”
McMaster’s Department of Athletics and Recreation will be entering very elite company as part of its recent agreement with Nike. The agreement will be serviced through local distributor T. Litzen Sports and ensures that McMaster University will be one of only five schools in North America with the right to wear Jordan Brand basketball uniforms and sell Jordan brand apparel. This is the first such deal for NIKE in Canada.
Director of Athletics And Recreation Jeff Giles is thrilled to associate the McMaster brand with the marketing juggernaut and international icon that is Michael Jordan. "Our coaches and team members are very pleased with the product and our fans will be able to show their true colors in the merchandise of a true sports phenomenon,” Giles said. “This partnership will allow us to offer what today’s Marauder fan wants and I truly appreciate the hard work of T.Litzen Sports, to make it a reality for us."

Nike, Jordan and McMaster
McMaster Director of Athletics and Recreation, Jeff Giles, is pleased to announce that McMaster and NIKE have entered into a five-year partnership beginning in the 2012-2013 academic year that will provide exclusive footwear, apparel, and equipment coverage for many of the Marauders sports programs including football and basketball. The agreement will be serviced through local distributor T. Litzen Sports and is the first such deal for NIKE in Canada.
The agreement ensures that McMaster teams will be outfitted from "head to toe" in Nike uniforms, including practice and travel gear, as well as utilizing Nike equipment for all sports.
